I recently found a wonderful new source of inspiration in the Bé Chic Forever youtube channel.
Check out these screen grabs from the end table and luxury bathroom videos.
The end table video explores three way to make decadent coffee tables to coordinate with the luxurious tufted living room suite which, of course, goes perfectly with this amazing posh bathroom. (A gold toilet seat is so cool but so is the potty itself!).
If your dollies are craving a little chic in their lives, don’t miss the Bé Chic Forever youtube channel!
Go check out the channel and look for these awesome videos too:
Are your dolls celebrating Dolloween? I love the above Panda costume idea from Many Small Friends. Doesn’t she just look like she’s ready?
Don’t forget last year’s post with more ideas! (And the second post last year)
As always, if you find a broken link, please let me know and if you find more cool links, let all of us know and post below (especially if it’s YOUR site!)!
Ok, I admit, that’s probably not the topic you’d expect with back to school happening or just around the corner but my Chasing Fireflies catalog just came and it has some stellar costumes that should provide great inspiration. If you’re like me, you need to start planning now!
My absolute favorite is the glow in the dark skeleton costume (click photos to links)!
If I was going to buy one, it would be that one. Realistically, if you were going to buy all the supplies, you’d spend close to the $25 retail anyway, I think. The skeleton is staying on my Wish List. (Try this one at home: http://manysmallfriends.com/skeleton-costume-pattern-for_18_inch_dolls/)
This is another one of my favorites, the Tuxedo Tutu! (Try that at home with a black tee and tutu).
Then there’s the Tootsie Roll which is dear to me because my grandmother loved Tootsie Rolls so much so that as a little one that when her family got anywhere near the store that sold them she would just start excitedly shouting, “Tootsie! Tootsie! Tootsie!” until she got one. I think I might just use a roll of brown felt and some puff paint to make a Tootsie Roll costume. (Try another candy at home with this candy corn idea).
Last but not least, if you need a costume for your real life doll, there’s always the old doll in a box idea – kicked up a notch with a professional box from Chasing Fireflies. (Google “American Girl doll box costume” for MANY examples of how to do this at home).
There are so many costumes to chose from that I encourage you to just go look for inspiration on their site. They have multiple fairies and witches as well as fancy dress. (They also have pjs and matching girl outfits).
Get those ideas flowing! I think I feel a costume contest coming on!
